How to Rig the Hellfire on a Drop-Shot

When it comes to finesse and hanging a presentation in the strike zone for a long period of time, it's hard to beat a drop-shot presentation. Not as intimidating as they might seem, this popular bass presentation is also great for targeting panfish hanging in vertical structure like downed timber where it can otherwise be tough to avoid snags. In this episode, the SJTV duo accomplishes this setup with a size 6 hook above a 1/8th ounce tungsten drop-shot weight. Simply threading on the body of the Hellfire onto the hook through the nose, this tactic allowed them to place the bait just outside the branches allowing the tentacles to do all the work fluttering and triggering strikes from wary crappies.
